Let’s get drenched in the rain,
That washes away all the distance.
Let’s dance to the beat,
What belonged to us once.
Let’s be free
As we should be.
Let the moon be the witness
Of the sinful love tonight;
What was left unfinished
That we started ages ago.
And let the world remain calm
But the wind be the one
To tell you my whisper.
Day: August 14, 2019
Pygmalion & Galatea
A scribbled canvas,
Full of strokes of brush,
Somewhere it is red,
Somewhere it is blank,
Somewhere colour is fade.
Grey smoke is coiling up
Under the light.
The painter is drunk
Maybe it’s rum; few pints.
Sleepless nights,
Red eyes and tired heart,
Weed between two lips,
Euphoria is his only love.
Slowly red gets finished.
Still, her lips are left.
His wrist is slashed,
Her lips are completed.
Dizziness is capturing
His head; eyes are heavy.
With a smile, he is looking
At his Galatea’s Beauty,
“Now Pygmalion can sleep.”
Another deep cut on the wrist.
The Warmth
“Tonight is chilly
Come closer to me.”
He spread his hand,
She crawled to him.
He hugged her tight,
She kissed his cheek.
Under the blanket,
The warmth was enough
To fall asleep.
Looking at her innocence
He sighed.
Smelling her sweet fragrance
He smiled.
“Surely you look like your mother.”
Mumbling to himself,
He looked at the night sky.
Enormous stars are embroidered.
